Northstar win Young Professionals Grant from the QRCA!
Northstar is very proud to announce that two of their qualitative researchers have been awarded the Young Professionals Grant from the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA).
The QRCA is a global non-profit association who exists to promote excellence in the field of qualitative research. Every year, the association offers young qualitative researchers from around the world an opportunity to attend one of their annual conferences for free.
The 2018 grant is awarded to just 15 qualitative researchers, under the age of 35, from around the world. The selection process is based on age, experience level and a personal statement provided by applicants, and Research Managers Amye Parker and Jessica Fennell are excited to have been selected for this grant by the QRCA.
In her personal statement, Amye highlighted her ability to think outside the box of regular research methods. She also demonstrated her interest in cultures by describing her move from Canada to Europe in 2016.
Jessica used her personal statement to speak about her perspective as a researcher who made the move from the world of media planning. She also spoke about her interest in how qualitative techniques have been adapted to meet the needs of the increasingly ROI focused world of business.
Both Jessica and Amye are looking forward to connecting with other international qualitative researchers at the QRCA conferences in 2018. Amye will be attending the QRCA Annual Conference ‘Elevate & Cultivate’ in Phoenix, Arizona from 24-26 January. Jessica will be attending the Worldwide Conference on Qualitative Research in Valencia, Spain from 16-18 May.
Stay tuned for conference highlights from Jessica and Amye in 2018!
